so after watching Game of Thrones today I decided to recreate Daario Naharis’s hair, since it looked quite awesome, not only for men but for women aswell. maybe it’s not the best hairdo for school or work, but you can wear it to pretty much any party or activities with friends if it maches your style.
it’s a very simple, 10 minute hairdo.
you start with parting your hair in the middle, then take a small section of hair from the top of each side, and make two small ponytails (you can always just use a bobby pin and pin them in place, but since I have a huge amount of hair, ponytails work better for me).
after your sections are in place, on one side (whichever you like the most, I did it on the right side) take the section of hair that is covering your ear, and create a simple three-strand braid. it doesn’t have to be tight, in fact it looks better if it’s a bit loose.now at the back of the other side, I couldn’t quite catch what kind of braid Daario has, but it seemed like a rope braid to me, so I did a rope braid, but honestly, you can do any other braid you prefer. for the rope braid, I made another small ponytail next to the one I did earlier (again because I have an awful lot of hair; if you prefer, do it any other way), and twisted each of them clockwise, then twisted them together counterclockwise (it’s important that the direction of twisting each strand and the direction of twisting them together should be different, otherwise it’ll be way too loose).
as you can see my rope braid looks a bit strange, I did not do it on purpose, but I think it looks better that way. the messier the better I say, and if you look at the screencap Daario’s braid is also a bit messy.
(I’ve just noticed that on the photos it looks like I have the rope braid on different sides, that’s just because the top photo is mirrored.
simple three-strand braid on the front of one side, rope braid at the back of the other side. two braids only. sorry.)so that’s about it. I hope you like this post and I really do hope you find it useful.
if you’re not interested in braiding then sorry, please just ignore this. :)
